Science Fair Information

Each year students in grades 6-8 are required to complete and display a science project. The project is to be an experiment based upon the inquiry method of investigation. Each project must be approved by the student's science teacher and supported by the parent. The fair is held in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of the school year and constitutes a major portion of the 2nd (7/8th) or 3rd (5/6th) quarter grade in science. Fifth grade students are given experience with the scientific method of investigation through an in-school project supervised by the teacher. If the fifth grader chooses, they may prepare a display of their project.
