Fantastic FridaysParents and families of students grade K-8 are
welcome to drop by Trinity Lutheran School during "Fantastic Fridays!" Feb
8,15,22 and 29, when the school will hold open house from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for
tours and to distribute enrollment and tuition information.

Congregational Christmas Party on December 2, 2007
God's children of all ages are invited to celebrate Jesus' birth at a
Christmas party for everyone on Sunday, December 2 at 2:30 pm in the Trinity
Parish Hall. Everyone bring a gently used gift for the gift exchange. Chili
dogs, chips and cookies will be served. Christmas Trivia and Bingo will be
played. Kids of all ages can decorate cookies an make Christmas decorations and
crafts. The grade school with the highest percentage attending will win a class
pizza party.

Spaghetti Dinner on October 20, 2007
The Trinity Athletic Committee is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Saturday Oct. 20th in the school cafeteria from 3:00-7:00pm in the Trinity School Cafeteria in conjunction with the Girls Volleyball Tournament. The menu will include Spaghetti w/ meat sauce, garlic bread, salad, dessert and
drink. Free will offerings will be accepted.

Our Book Fair is Coming on November 14-16, 2007
The whole school is excited about our upcoming Book Fair. Each child will visit the Fair with his or her class, and will have the opportunity to purchase books. Mark your calendar for our Family Event where you can shop, join in activities, and enjoy refreshments. And, you can select books for your child’s teacher to help build their classroom library. Veterans Day on November 11, 2007 Trinity Lutheran School is in
session on November 11th and YOU are invited to come and help us celebrate. Some
of the activities being planned are as follows: Color Guard ceremony; Chapel
with a Military Chaplin; Lunch (free for veterans); Guest speakers to talk about
Military life; Lowering of the Flag Ceremony. More details to follow in coming
months.

Mr. Brett Moll accepts 3rd Grade positionTrinity Lutheran School is
please to announce that Mr. Brett Moll has accepted our offer to teach third
grade for the 2007-2008 school year. Mr. Moll is an alumnus of Trinity Lutheran
School, a graduate of Lutheran High School-Springfield, a lifelong member of
Trinity Lutheran Church and currently ushers on Sunday mornings. Mr. Moll
attended Lincoln Land Community College and the University of Illinois,
Springfield where he majored in Psychology and completed his teaching
certification in elementary education. Mr. Moll, welcome back to Trinity
Lutheran School.

3rd Grade Teacher Needed
Trinity Lutheran School is currently seeking applicants for a full time, 3rd grade school
teacher, effective August 1st, 2007. An ideal applicant would posses synodical
training in theological teachings of the LCMS and be eligible to receive a call
by the congregation. A strong educational background and/or teaching
experience in some of the following areas are desired: music, reading, writing,
math and science. The ability to teach art, computer skills, physical education
and coach sports are also factors for consideration. If interested, please
submit an application to the school office by June 11,2007.

Fantastic Fridays
Trinity will be hosting an Open House on selected Fridays during the months
of February and March. The Open House will be for families that are considering
enrolling in the school. At the Open House you will be able to:
- Tour the classrooms and the facility.
- Get an overview of Trinity's Kindergarten-Eighth grade education
program.
- Meet the principal, teachers and staff.
- Get an overview of the enrolment process.
- Get a feel for what it would be like for you and your child to be part
of Trinity Lutheran.
