Rev.
Dr. Micheal Strong
Pastor Emeritus
Rev. Dr. Micheal Strong grew up in Decatur, IL. He graduated from
Concordia Theological Seminary, Springfield and served congregations
in Lawrenceville, IL and New Orleans, La. before serving as
Associate pastor and Sr. pastor of Trinity, Springfield. While
pastor of Trinity the congregation celebrated its 150th year of
serving the Springfield community and the 100th year of it's
magnificent church building on the corner of 2nd and Monroe.
Pastor Strong earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Concordia
Seminary, St. Louis as well. He and his wife Cindy, who teaches at
Lutheran High School and has authored several children’s books, have
two children – Adam and Rebecca. They are also blessed with several
grandchildren. Rev. Strong retired in 2006 and thoroughly enjoys
the time he now has “putzing” around. One of the greatest joys of
serving Trinity, he says have been the selfless Christian members
who rejoiced in hearing of "Christ and Him crucified."
