ROTHE RECEIVES AWARD FOR EFFECTIVE MINISTRY. On Friday, May 27, the Rev. Martin H. Rothe received the Servus Ecclesiae Christi award. These awards are given yearly by the President of Concordia Theological Seminary to pastors who demonstrate exemplary and effective service to the Church through their ministry. The award was conferred by Dr. Preus at ceremonies at Fort Wayne, Indiana as part of the commencement exercises for 1983. The certificate reads: "Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana, is pleased to honor Rev. Martin H. Rothe as a Servus Ecclesiae Christi for effective ministry among God's people in today's world." Rev. Rothe is a 1932 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, and presently serves at Trinity Lutheran Church as Visitation Pastor in Springfield, Illinois.
