Dear Martin:

I want to personally thank you via this letter for your devotion
and faithful service during the vacancies that Trinity congregation
has experienced this last year. I want you to know that, as I have
said publicly, your faithfulness and unselfish attitude during these
vacancies made them considerably less traumatic than they well might
have been. I thank our God for your faithful service and look forward
to continuing the excellent Christian working relationship that we
have had with each other.

In addition to this please let your wife know how much her under-
standing and cooperative spirit has been appreciated as well. As you
know, our work is much easier because of the wonderful women that we
are married to. For this we all ought to thank God.
