I received a very gracious invitation to be with you at Trinity Church
on October 24 to celebrate your 50th anniversary in the ministry. I am
very sorry that I cannot come, but I did want to write you this letter
of congratulations. I appreciated you very much as a pastor and
preacher when I was privileged to be in Springfield and a member of
Trinity, and I wish you the richest blessings from God just as He has
blessed you in the past.
