- CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT OF PART-TIME RETIRED PASTOR - GENERAL AREA OF ASSIGNMENT: 1. Visting of shut-ins within Trinity Congregation at least once a month and administering communion to the shut-ins. 2. Assist with preaching schedule during vacation periods and other absences of the pastors, an average of once per month or 12 times a year. 3. Other assignments within Trinity Congregation as may be required in cases of emergency. All of the above assignments shall be administered within the limitations of a retired pastor so that he will not jeopardize his retirement status and benefits under the Concordia Retirement Plan or Social Security. Hours of work assignment should NOT EXCEED an average of twelve (12) hours per week, fifty hours per month, or six hundred hours per year. The retired pastor shall be under the supervision of the pastors and shall make written monthly reports to the Board of Directors. COMPENSATION FOR SERVICES: 1. For visiting of shut-ins and other assignments that may be required according to points 1, 2, and 3 above, Trinity Congregation will pay $218.00 per month or $2,616.00 per year, and in keeping with the customary procedure of providing housing for Trinity's pastors Trinity Congregation designates the amount as housing. 2. Preaching assignments in addition to the average of once per month or 12 times a year shall be compensated for at the same rate as a guest preacher. 3. A mileage allowance of twelve (12) cents per mile shall be paid monthly. These conditions of employment shall be effective for one year from date of signing with option for renewal. The Conditions of Employment may be terminated by either party after thirty (30) days written notice.
