Rev. Fred Kramer Rev. Martin Rothe Anniversary service set at city church . A special anniversary service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Trinity Lu- theran Church, honoring the Rev. Fred Kramer and the Rev. Martin Rothe. Kramer is celebrating his 55th anniversary and Rothe his 50th anniversary of work in the Lutheran Church, Mis- souri Synod. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jacob A.O. Preus, who served as presi- dent of Concordia Seminary, Springfield, from 1962 to 1969. Kramer was graduated from St. Louis Seminary in 1927, received his masters degree from the University of Michigan in 1951, and an honorary doctorate from Concordia, St. Louis, in 1960. He served several. parishes in Kansas prior to teaching at St. John's College, Win- field, Kan., and Concordia. Seminary, Springfield. He re- tired in 1976. Rothe was graduated from Concordia Seminary, Spring- field, in 1932. He took post- graduate work at St. Louis and Springfield seminaries. He served several parishes in Arkansas, Kentucky, Illi- nois, and Indiana before re- tiring from the active ministry in 1973, to become visiting pastor of Trinity Lu- theran Church. He still serves in that capacity.
