Trinity church is a confessional liturgical Christ-centered Lutheran church in which our chief focus is Sharing Christ amongst the Body of Christ that gathers for worship here, our community, and our world. Following then our Lord's command to also love one another, we seek to meet especially the spiritual needs of our members and as resources permit also their physical needs. In short, our vision is Sharing Christ - Meeting Needs.

Trinity congregation does both of the above in many and various ways. We invite you to peruse our pages and you will see that we are a church that takes seriously the gift of life, forgiveness, and salvation that our Father so graciously has bestowed upon us.

A New Way to Give
Trinity is pleased to announce the introduction of an electronic option for making regular offerings. Contributions can now be debited automatically from your checking or savings account. Our new electronic giving program offers convenience for you and much-needed donation consistency for our congregation.

If you are currently giving on a weekly basis, you will no longer need to write out 52 checks a year or prepare 52 envelopes. And, when travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, this program will allow your weekly offerings to continue on an uninterrupted basis.

Easter Breakfast on April 4th, 2010
You are invited to Trinity Youth's Annual Easter Breakfast on Sunday April 4th at 7:00am. to 10:30 am. at Trinity Lutheran School. Proceeds will benefit Youth attending the National Lutheran Youth Gathering in New Orleans, LA July 2010.

The menu includes: Pancakes, Sausage, Egg Casserole, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls, and muffins along with juice, milk and coffee.

21st Annual Gala - May 7, 2010
The 21st Annual Lutheran High School Gala will be held on Friday evening May 7,2010 at the Orr Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds. The theme for this year's premier fund raising event for Lutheran High School is "A Night at Cannes". Doors open at 5:00pm. Silent auction 5:00-9:00 pm. Live auction begins at 8:30 pm. Voters Meeting on March 8^th
The next Voters' meeting is on Monday, March 8th at 7 pm in the Parish Hall. One item of business will be information on changing the Constitution to allow women to serve in certain elected positions in the church.

Lutheran High School Sunday Brunch on March 14^th
Serving for the Annual Sunday Brunch will be held on Sunday March 14th, 2010 at 10:30 am. to 2:00 pm. at Lutheran High School. The cost for adults is $10.00, children 12 and under $5.00. Lutheran High School FOUNDATION FOR EXCELLENCE Fall Event on Friday September 11th
FOUNDATION FOR EXCELLENCE Fall Event 9/11 Dinner at Trinity Lutheran Parish Hall, 501 S. MacArthur. … The attack on the World Trade Center in 2001 is still fresh in our minds. Rev. Bill Wrede, serving at the time as a chaplain to the deaf, found himself on the scene shortly following the attack. For several months he served as the spiritual support in our stead to the rescue and retrieval crews on scene. Pastor Wrede has a fascinating first hand account of the process and will be with us on September 11 of this year to speak at a dinner at Trinity’s Fellowship Hall at 6:00 p.m. Tickets for this dinner are $25.00 apiece and support the Foundation for Excellence which presents this evening to increase its visibility in the community and encourage more support of its programs.
